PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transgenic animal for developing an epileptic symptom useful for elucidating human epilepsy and developing an antiepileptic drug. SOLUTION: The transgenic non-human mammal causes an epileptic convulsion by transfer of a sugar chain antigen gene. Especially the transgenic non-human mammal, to which a sugar chain antibody gene encoding (a) protein composed of two specific amino acid sequences or (b) protein composed of an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the two specific amino acid sequences and having sugar chain antibody activity is transferred, is obtained.
