<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pair of conveyance rollers, disposed close to a fixing device, from forming a pressure mark or a slide scratch on a toner image on paper when holding and conveying the paper. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the fixing device 30 for applying heat and pressure to form S with an unfixed toner image transferred thereto, thereby fixing the unfixed toner image; and the pair of conveyance rollers 37 disposed downstream of the fixing nip area N of the fixing device 30 in the direction of paper conveyance and used to sandwich and convey the form S passed through the fixing nip area N.
