PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with which switching the number of pictures to be taken is changed in one mirror sequence, and the pictures corresponding to each of a plurality of subjects are consecutively taken without missing photographing timing. SOLUTION: In the digital camera, an imager 44 receiving subject luminous flux and picking up an image moves in the optical axis direction of the subject luminous flux, and a quick return mirror is switched in an optical path to a 1st position where the subject luminous flux is guided to an observation optical system and to a 2nd position where the subject luminous flux is guided to the imager 44. When the quick return mirror exists at the 2nd position, focusing is performed to each of the plurality of subjects to which range-finding is performed by a range-finding unit 41, so that an imager driving unit 59 on which the imager is mounted is driven to move the imager 44 corresponding to each of the plurality of subjects, and the image is picked up every time.
