PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein the load imposed on a mail server becomes considerably heavy when the mail server makes communication with pieces of mail encrypted or subjected to electronic signature processing to all destinations compatible with the encryption or electronic signature processing. SOLUTION: The mail server determines necessity of electronic signature on the basis of a transmission destination table, and contrives that the server can designate the necessity of encryption or electronic signature individually on the basis of a client table being a host table of the transmission destination table, and carries out the encryption or electronic signature according to the designation of the necessity so as to ensure the security while suppressing the load imposed on the mail server.
