PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain information on a circumferential disaster state, the nearest place of refuge, etc., by deepening residents' awareness of disasters. SOLUTION: As shown in, for example, Fig. 2, disaster prediction data showing strengths against respective disasters which are calculated on the basis of geographic features, the numbers of years after the construction of buildings, etc., are prepared by areas. Data obtained by researches by municipalities, research institutions, etc., may be used as the disaster prediction data. When a user provides information on the seismic intensity of an earthquake, etc., disasters in a peripheral area of a current place detected by a position detector 1 are predicted by using the disaster prediction data corresponding to the area and results are displayed on a screen (Fig. 7). At this time, information on the nearest place of refuse etc., is displayed. This disaster predicting device 100 is mounted on a vehicle 100 and then the user can predict disasters during a usual drive and easily obtains the place ofrefuse in case of disaster.
