PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the surface of a substrate without enlarging the outline of a subject internal information acquisition apparatus such as a swallowing capsule type endoscope. SOLUTION: In the subject internal information acquisition apparatus, a plurality of cutout parts 30b-30b, 40a-40a, 40b-40b are provided at the peripheries of surfaces (upper faces and lower faces) of an illuminating substrate 30 and an imaging substrate 40 with functional execution means respectively mounted and arranged, and ring members 8a, 9a and engaging members 8b-8b, 9b-9b are provided at holders 8, 9. The engaging members 8b-8b, 9b-9b of the holders 8, 9 are engaged with the cutout parts 30b-30b, 40a-40a, 40b-40b to perform positioning between the substrates 30, 40 while holding a space between the substrates.
