PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount armrests having vertically sliding mechanisms on a wheelchair mounted with armrests having no vertically sliding mechanisms. SOLUTION: This armrest having the vertically sliding mechanism such as an armrest sliding frame 13 is constituted of components other than a wheelchair body frame. Brackets 17 and 18 for attaching the armrest to the wheelchair body frame are provided in the upper part and the lower part of the armrest sliding frame respectively so as to easily attach the armrest with the vertically sliding mechanism to the wheelchair body frame.
