PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing a shoot apex of a plant in a shorter time. SOLUTION: The method for culturing the shoot apex of the plant involves culturing the shoot apex, a multiple shoot or a shoot of the plant by using a culture medium containing at least one kind selected from the group consisting of an apatite compound and a trehalose. The culture medium for culturing the shoot apex contains at least one kind selected from the group consisting of the apatite compound and the trehalose. The growth promotor for culturing the shoot apex contains at least one kind selected from the group consisting of the apatite compound and the trehalose as an active ingredient.
