PURPOSE:To prevent stepwise uneven application as well as to improve the adhesion of a constituent layer by bringing a support having a high molecular resin layer into contact with ionized air and by applying a photographic emulsion to a support. CONSTITUTION:The support having the high molecular resin layer is brought into contact with ionized air, and the photographic emulsion is applied to the support. For example, in a continuous system, the support which travels continuously is brought into contact with air ionized with an air ionizing means such as an AC ion generator, and the photographic emulsion is applied to the support. It is preferable that the support is brought into contact with ionized air after exposure to a corona discharge region. The electrostatically charged state of the surface of the support to which the emulsion is applied is made uniform, and preferably charges on the support can be removed well. The adhesion of the resulting constituent layer to the support is improved, and stepwise uneven application is prevented. |
