PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material for back-lit display particularly for a medical application and having no problem of glaringness due to a return light, high ink absorbability and transparency and a good surface strength. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording material for back-lit display comprises an ink acceptive layer coating a light transmittance support and containing a hydrophilic polymer and an inorganic pigment having a mean particle size of less than 0.5 μm or inorganic fine particles having a mean particle size of secondary particle of less than 0.5 μm, a hydrophilic polymer and an inorganic pigment having a mean particle size of 0.5 μm or more in such a manner that a haze value specified according to JIS K 7105 of the acceptive layer is 25% or less. A C value of an image clarity specified by JIS H 8686 on a surface of the acceptive layer is preferred to be 83% or less. |
