The method for the forming of the injection process of a fuel injector (3) which is controlled by a switching valve (29) operated by a control valve (37) and which has a pressure intensifier to increase the pressure level of fuel to be injected in a combustion chamber, entails operating once or repeatedly the control valve piloting the switching valve during the main injection phase of fuel into the combustion chamber. At least one operating pause is interposed between a first operating phase and further operating phase of the control valve. |
