The device has a driving spindle (2) with cam forming bosses (4, 7) permitting to engage an odd gear ratio. The spindle has cam forming bosses (5, 8) allowing a selection change of a pair of yokes of shift forks, to disengage the engaged odd gear ratio and to move the selected yoke pair, for engaging an even gear ratio. The spindle has cam forming bosses (6, 9) allowing to disengage an even gear ratio.
