METHOD FOR IMPROVING MOBILITY MANAGEMENT FUNCTION IN REGISTRATION ZONE, PACKET ZONE, AND COLOR CODE BOUNDARY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology with respect to reconnection and re-registration of a dormant mobile terminal when passing beyond an adjacent packet zone, color code, or registration zone domain in the wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A base station that exists at a boundary between two packet zones in the wireless communication system transmits an expanded system parameter including an identification of a primary packet zone that the base station supports and an identification of an adjacent secondary packet zone that the base station supports. When the dormant mobile terminal passes the boundary between packet zones, it does not request the reconnection until it is not added in a list in an expanded system parameter massage received from the base station in a cell that the mobile terminal currently exists and it is not needed to repeatedly activate this.
