The pressure cylinder (1), for use in automated systems etc., is a slit cylinder with two end closures (3) and a piston (4) moving axially within it. A traveler (5) is mounted on the cylinder body (2), with at least one link to the piston through the slit. At least one stripper (9) seals the slit against soiling with a single sealing strip (6), to seal the pressure chamber (7) against a pressure medium. The sealing strip has a sealed contact on the upper connecting surface of the sealing strip against the stripper.
