<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly operable manual operation device for a vehicle for performing an accelerating operation, a braking operation and a speed varying operation by one hand, and for making the brake effective at the time of performing a predetermined speed varying operation to a P range or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A manual operation device 1 for a vehicle is provided with a select lever 2 to be moved backward and forward for performing a braking operation and an accelerating operation and a shift range having a plurality of selection ranges to be selected by the select lever 2.
