<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight capable of heightening flux utilization efficiency by utilizing a direct light emitted obliquely frontward from a light source bulb, capable of obtaining bright light distribution pattern without increasing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An additional reflector 29, reflecting direct light b2, b3 emitted from the light source bulb 23 toward lower side of a lens central axis Ax, is arranged at upside of the lens central axis Ax between a reflector 25 and a projection lens 21 of the vehicular headlight 10, and an additional lens 31, reflecting reflection light b21, b31 from the additional reflector 29 frontward, is arranged at the opposite side of the additional reflector 29 with a lens central axis Ax laid in between. By the above, the direct light b2, b3 emitted obliquely frontward from the light source bulb 23 is utilized for frontward lighting, and the flux utilization efficiency is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
