<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device capable of reducing and eliminating the movement that a vehicle tries to jump out in the advancing direction when restarting an engine, in a vehicle for controlling the so-called economy running. <P>SOLUTION: This shift control device 1 has a clutch control ECU 5 for controlling an engaging state of a clutch 3 arranged between the engine 7 and a wheel 20. The clutch control ECU 5 controls clutch pressure of the clutch 3 in the opening direction when detecting that the engine 7 is started when the clutch 3 is put in the engaging state.
