摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out friction stir welding with high reliability when a bracket is joined to an end portion of a pipe shape arm portion by the friction stir welding. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a link rod having bushes integratedly joined to both ends of a pipe shape arm portion, the material 14 for brackets is formed by extrusion so as to have the length corresponding to the temporarily assembled width of N arm portions, and fitting projections 7 are fitted on end portions of the respective arm portions, and the end portions are brought into contact with the mounting surfaces 15a provided on the projection 15 of the material 14 for brackets, and the N arm portions are arranged in a row without a gap such that the contact portions make a continuous line, and the friction stir welding is carried out along the continuous line, and after that, the material 14 for brackets are cut off so as to have the width of the bracket 4. The fitting projections 7 is formed by vertically forming slits 18, at an interval of the width of the hollow portion of the arm portion 2, on a horizontal projection 17 integrally formed in forming the material 14 for brackets.
