PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system which enables an operator to carry out an operation by a GUI which is conventionally performed by using a pointing device conected to a processor without feeling complicated or burdensome unnecessarily. SOLUTION: In the electronic endoscope system, having the processor on which the GUI is mounted and an electronic scope inserted in a body cavity for imaging living tissues, the electronic scope has a first operation means for carrying out the operation on the processor by the GUI, and the processor has a control means for controlling to perform processing corresponding to the operation by the first operation means.
