<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deceleration control device for controlling the deceleration of a vehicle in accordance with a target deceleration set in response to instructions by deceleration instructing devices, having improved conveniences in the instructions of the target deceleration of the vehicle by the deceleration instructing devices. <P>SOLUTION: In the deceleration control device, when a deceleration instructing preliminary mode (an E mode) is not set by a first deceleration instructing device 75, an instruction-effective-or-not selecting means 118 selects the instruction of the target deceleration G<SB>M</SB>by a second deceleration instructing device 88 to be in an effective condition or not depending on the selecting operation of a driver. Thus, conveniences in the instruction of the target deceleration G<SB>M</SB>by the second deceleration instructing device 88 are improved. Namely, even when the deceleration instructing preliminary mode is not set by the first deceleration instructing device 75, the instruction of the target deceleration G<SB>M</SB>by the second deceleration instructing device 88 is allowed, thus improving the conveniences in the instruction of the target deceleration G<SB>M</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
