<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience for users while preventing fraudulent activities when using an IC card of prepaid system for an ETC system of a toll road. <P>SOLUTION: A system comprises: an antenna 21a for use in ETC for entrance processing by radio communication with an onboard unit mounted on a vehicle, which comes into an entrance tollgate of the toll road; antenna units 11a, 11b for entrance processing in response to error cases by performing radio communication with the IC card, when an entrance ETC processing error has occurred at the entrance processing using the antenna 21a for the ETC; and a controller 19. An exit tollgate is provided with an antenna 31 for ETC and antenna units 35a, 35b. Even if the IC card is not inserted into the onboard unit when the vehicle mounted with the onboard unit of ETC comes into the entrance tollgate, the entrance processing is completed by contactless IC card processing using the antenna units 11a, 11b and controller 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
