<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper size detection device capable of detecting paper size even when selective operation of a paper size detection means becomes incomplete. <P>SOLUTION: A paper feeding tray capable of being pulled out of a machine main body by sliding is provided with paper regulation members 54, 52 in the direction of paper width and the direction of feeding being slidable in accordance with paper size and two movable members 1, 2 moving in the interlocking relationship with slide positions of respective paper regulation members and turning and displacing in accordance with positions of each paper regulation member. The machine main body is provided with a plurality of paper size detection switches 51 operating selectively when a paper feeding tray is set in the machine main body in accordance with positional relation of each movable member moving in the interlocking relationship with the paper regulation members. Each movable member moving in the interlocking relationship with the paper regulation members has a recessed and projecting pattern for using the center 41 of turn in common and operating the paper size detection switches selectively, respectively, to operate the paper size detection switches selectively by combination of recessed and projecting patterns of each movable member for making tip loci from the center of turn of these recessed and projecting patterns equal and overlapping them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
