PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphone system providing ease of use because wires are not complicated and preventing the misconnection of connectors. SOLUTION: Each of microphones includes a first connector connected to one of the microphones the an upstream side or the downstream side of the cascade-connected microphones via a cable. An identification means 21 of an interface circuit 2 identifies to which of the upstream or downstream microphone the first and second connectors 3, 4 are connected on the basis of a received signal via the cable connected to the connectors, and informs a reception block 22 and a transmission block 23 about a discrimination result. The reception block 22 and the transmission block 23 transmit data received from the upstream to the downstream and transmit data received from the downstream to the upstream on the basis of the discrimination result as its processing.
