<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method capable of accurately controlling the resolution of an image printed on a variety of ink receptors and capable of producing an image of high and uniform gloss. <P>SOLUTION: A printing method for inkjet-printing a radiation-curable image on a substrate is disclosed. First, a radiation-curable liquid layer is provided on at least part of the substrate. A drop (10) of the radiation curable inkjet ink is jetted into the radiation-curable liquid layer, and then the radiation-curable liquid layer containing the drop of the radiation-curable inkjet ink is cured. The resolution of the radiation-curable image is related to the size of the radiation-curable inkjet ink jetted on the cured layer and controlled by controlling the liquid layer to a specified thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
