An inlet pipe (1) for a centrifuge especially a sieve worm or oscillating centrifuge, comprises an inner end which joins onto the delivery area of the rotating centrifuge, and the pipe passes through the front door of the centrifuge. The pipe consists of plastic, especially polyethylene, and is supported by a carrier, especially a shell section. The latter is covered by a clamping or tensioning shell made of metal.
