A vehicle navigation device (1) has a position-detection device (PDD) (11), an activating switch group (12), an image-display device (13), a loudspeaker (14), a RAM (16), a ROM (17), an external storage medium (18) as an external memory and a CPU (19). E.g. the PDD has a geo-magnetism sensor, a gyro-compass, a vehicle speed sensor and a global positioning satellite receiver. An independent claim is also included for a program for acting on a computer.
