<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage conversion element whereby the configuration of circuit components is simplified. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage conversion element 100 includes: a piezoelectric member 1 as an electromechanical energy conversion element; a piezoelectric member 2 acting like a mechanical electric energy conversion element; an electrode 3 connected to the piezoelectric member 1 as a first terminal; an electrode 4 connected to a joint between the piezoelectric members 1 and 2; and an electrode 5 connected to the piezoelectric member 2 as a second terminal. When power is supplied to the electrode 1, the piezoelectric member 1 causes distortion, and the piezoelectric member 2 receiving the distortion generates a voltage different from the voltage applied to the electrode 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
