PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing band for a cathode-ray tube, wherein the so called "lug height" can be changed freely, and the lug height can be aligned accurately between respective corner parts, and moreover, obtainable using a simple process. SOLUTION: After applying press drawing to a belt-like metal plate 8 along an almost U-shape which is the outline shape of a mounting lug 9, except for the connecting part with the metal plate 8, the U-shaped part is bent almost perpendicular with respect to the surface of the metal plate 8 along the connecting part.
