<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal separator for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell and its manufacturing method improved a resistance to corrosion with maintaining conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: Fine powder is sprayed on a metal substrate surface contacting with an electrode structuring a unit cell of a metal separator with carrier gas from a tip of a minute hole nozzle to form a precise buffer layer, on which a conductive protection film is formed.
