The cutting body (1) is made of carbide. It is of flat and polygonal design and has cutting edges at its corners widened perpendicularly to the plane of the cutting body (1). So that the corners (2 to 4) carrying the cutting edges can be easily machined, the corners (2 to 4) protrude abruptly relative to the body part (6) of the cutting body (1).
