<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil which can surely prevent a secondary coil from being short-circuited irrespective of a fluctuated insulation breakdown voltage of a wining. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil for an internal-combustion engine is made by coaxially arranging a primary coil 5 and a secondary coil 3 outside a central iron core 1. In this case, the secondary coil 3 is comprised of a nearly cylindrical secondary bobbin 2 and a winding WR wound around the secondary bobbin 2. The secondary bobbin 2 is divided into a plurality of winding sections SC by a nearly annular flange FG, and a transfer part 21 is formed to the flange FG to deliver the winding to the adjoining winding section.
