PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to the varied operation circumstance and to more accurately ambiguous sound/voice instruction. SOLUTION: The instrument control device 10 for the vehicle has a sound/voice recognition means 50 for recognizing the sound/voice inputted from a microphone 14 and converting it to a text; an ambiguousness determination means 52 for determining that the converted/produced text is clear or ambiguous in order to select the instrument becoming an operation object; a relevancy determination means 56 for investigating relevancy of the text and the past operation with reference to an operation history memorizing part 54 in which operation performed at the past is recorded and presuming the instrument becoming the operation object from a plurality of the instruments; and a priority setting means 58 for setting priority in every instrument. The instrument control device 10 for the vehicle further has an operation instruction means 62 for performing the operation corresponding to the text by the selected instrument by selecting the instrument based on the comparison result of the priority setting means 60; and an operation circumstance presumption means 64 for detecting or presuming the operation circumstance relating to the vehicle 12.
