PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing saccharides from lignocellulosic biomass as raw material. SOLUTION: A method for treating lignocellulosic biomass is provided, comprising the step of treating the raw material biomass with pressurized hot water, the step of subjecting the resultant hot-water-treated product to mechanically grinding treatment and the step of subjecting the resultant mechanically ground product to saccharifying treatment with an enzyme.
