A system for converting hydraulic pressure into a rotational torque, and vice versa, has a cylindrical stator (1) with inner bore (2) and with a spiral duct (4) provided between the rotor (3) and the stator. One end of the duct is close and the other end has a hydraulic connection (6) out of the stator. A floating piston (8) linked to the rotor by a sliding coupling moves in the duct and generates a rotating movement.
