A lamp-operating apparatus (1) for a light source (LA) comprises an interfacing unit (5) for wireless reception of external control signals connected to a control unit (2) to operate the lamp on receipt of a signal. A housing (10) is joined to the interface through a coupling (6) and forms an antenna for signal reception. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an operating process for the above;and (B) a lighting system as above.
