A steerable drive axle is disposed on an agricultural vehicle such as a tractor. The drive axle is supported on the chassis of the vehicle via a Cardan shaft casing 2 running in the vehicle's longitudinal centre plane. The Cardan shaft housing is mounted on a swivel housing 8 which is supported on the chassis by at least one pivotable horizontal bearing bolt (16, fig.4), running transverse to the vehicle's longitudinal direction. Disposed between the bearing bolts and the chassis are resilient elements (17, fig.4). Preferably the bearing bolts are housed in bearing blocks 9 which are attached to the chassis by means of bolts 10. |
