[Also in Division A5] A smoking and inhaling device comprises a mouthpiece and separated regions containing respectively, tobacco and a material releasing nicotine or flavouring substance under the influence of heat from the burning of the tobacco, provision being made for air to be drawn into the mouthpiece from or through both regions. The device is typically illustrated with reference to Fig. 1 wherein the form is the shape of a conventional cigarette and comprises a paper wrapping 1, an inner tube 2 of ceramic material, a mouthpiece 3 with chamber 4 and outlet 5, a tobacco region 6 and a layer of nicotine source material 8. Optional features are (i) the inclusion of a tobacco smoke filter, and (ii) the provision of an annulus 11 (Fig. 3) cutting off direct communication between the tobacco region and the mouthpiece. |
