The invention concerns a method and a device for electric spot welding, improving the capacity of dissipation of the vibratory energy of assembled structures (51, 52) with welding spots. The invention is characterized in that it consists in creating a permanent contact zone (50) between the elements (51, 52) to be welded together, immediately proximate the welding spot, as well as a contact pressure field in said zone. The invention is especially applicable in the automotive industry.
