<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system inexpensively and positively carrying out calculation such that operation of a clutch system is selectively and temporarily suspended before the clutch system reaches a predetermined temperature limit. <P>SOLUTION: When the clutch system reaches the predetermined temperature limit, the control system selectively stops operation of the clutch system until a temperature of a clutch drops below the predetermined temperature limit. The control system includes an electronic control unit, for example, a computer or a microprocessor not limited by but calculating and/or processing one or a plurality of operation parameters of a vehicle including clutch input and output speeds, slip of the whole clutch, clutch torque, a present clutch output, a cumulative clutch output, a temperature delta (in other words, variation) of the clutch, and a clutch temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
