PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an absorber in a waste ink receptacle and an absorber in a waste ink channel easily and unerringly contact each other and recover an waste ink when the waste ink receptacle and the waste ink recovery section are connected by the waste ink channel in which an absorber having a capillary force is loaded. SOLUTION: The waste ink receiving section 6 side end of a channel absorber 14 in the waste ink channel 15 is projected by a prescribed length L, a recess portion 26 is formed in the part of the waste ink receiving absorbent 13 that faces the joint 24 of the waste ink channel, the amount of projection of the channel absorber 14 from the joint 24 is made greater than the amount of dent of the recess portion 26 from the joint 24, and the channel absorber or the waste ink receiving absorber is formed of an elastic material.
