PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct for shading depending on color. SOLUTION: A pixel counter 41 counts coordinate positions of image data supplied from a black level correction part 21. A relative position computation part 42 compares the image data with a correction value table to compute a relative coordinate position of a pixel to be processed. A correction value interpolation part 44 refers to the correction value table stored for each color in a correction value table memory 43 to interpolate a shading correction value into the relative coordinate position computed by the relative position computation part 42. A multiplier 45 multiplies the pixel data to be processed by the new shading correction value resulting from the interpolation to generate shading-corrected pixel data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
