PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matterial detecting device capable of reducing uselessness in selection, by improving measuring accuracy of a moving speed of a predetermined inspection object in a pipe. SOLUTION: This X-ray foreign matterial detecting device 100 has the pipe 110, an X-ray irradiating means 120, an X-ray detecting means 130, and a control processing part 140 for determining mixing of foreign matterial. The X-ray detecting means 130 has a plurality of X-ray line sensors 131a and 131b. The control processing part 140 comprises a determining means 141 for determining mixing of the foreign matterial, a moving speed calculating means 142 for calculating the moving speed of the inspection object 1 moving in the pipe 110 on the basis of a detecting signal output from the plurality of X-ray line sensors 131a and 131b, and a selecting signal generating means 143 for generating a selecting signal for selecting the inspection object 1 on the basis of a determining result of the determining means 141 and the moving speed calculated by the moving speed calculating means 142.
