PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid cosmetic composition that gives a film keeping fading resistance and durability for long hours after application. SOLUTION: The liquid cosmetic composition contains a mixture (A) of an organosiloxane resin (1) containing an R<SB>3</SB>SiO<SB>1/2</SB>"M" unit and an SiO<SB>2</SB>"Q" unit at a ratio to meet the relation of R<SB>n</SB>SiO<SB>(4-n)/2</SB>, (wherein (n) is a value between 1.0 and 1.50; and R is methyl group), the organosiloxane resin being a solid at 25°C and soluble in an organic solvent and having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000, and a diorganopolysiloxane polymer fluid (2) having a viscosity of higher than 10,000 cm<SP>2</SP>/s at 25°C at a (1):(2) ratio of 1:10 to 3.5:1, and a volatile hydrocarbon carrier (B) having a boiling point of 60 to 260°C.
