PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device capable of optical path switching between a laser light source and an illuminating optical system of enhancing the reproducibility of an image being observed, and to provide a laser unit. SOLUTION: The microscope device includes laser light sources (1 and 2), illuminating optical systems (21 and 22) for the microscope, which is used to illuminate an object (O) being observed, and a switching mechanism (30) disposed between the laser light source and the illuminating optical path and used to switch an optical path by inserting or extracting a corner cube (17). The switching mechanism (30) is constructed such that a retroreflective optical member is simply inserted or extracted. Accordingly, the brightness of an image being observed hardly decreases despite optical path switching. That is, the reproducibility of the brightness of the image being observed can be enhanced.
