PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a step of S/N and turning artifact in a contour part of a subject in a parallel imaging method. SOLUTION: In this parallel imaging method, the whole sensitivity image is deformed using a function for recessing in the phase encoding direction, whereby weighting for extrapolation of background area of a sensitivity distribution is converted to reflect the characteristics of the central part of the sensitivity distribution of each coil strongly on extrapolation to improve S/N after matrix calculation and restrain step of S/N. The sensitivity distribution of a subject region is expanded to be taken as the sensitivity distribution of a boundary region between the subject region and the background region, thereby eliminating a step and an error in the sensitivity distribution between the subject region and the background region.
