<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately conserve contents of an original document and contents postscript-added to the original document even when the original document before a postscript is not prepared. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 11 converts the colors of each picture element contained in picture data inputted to a picture processor 1, into representative colors while at least any two colors in these representative colors are specified as basic colors. The control unit 11 separates the picture data converted into the representative colors to original-document picture data composed of the picture elements of the basic colors, and postscript picture data composed of the picture elements of the representative colors excepting the basic colors, and makes these data correspond to each other respectively and stores these data in a non-volatile storage 12. By separating to stare the image data on the basis of the method described above, the control unit 11 can display the image specified by the operator on the display unit 14 out of original-document pictures displayed by the original-document picture data, postscript pictures displayed by the postscript picture data, or the pictures specified by an operator in the pictures in which the original-document pictures and the postscript pictures are overlapped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
