<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a gel-like composition having improved gel physical properties such as the enhanced gel strength of the gel-like composition and the improved texture of the gel-like composition. <P>SOLUTION: This method for improving the physical property of the gel-like composition is characterized by together using polyglutamic acid, when the gel-like composition containing the hydrocolloid of at least one or one group selected from 1.
