摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical alignment film showing an excellent alignment property to a liquid crystal compound on a triacetyl cellulose base material without providing a surface treating layer. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the optical alignment film comprises a step (1) for forming a coating layer on the triacetyl cellulose base material by a coating solution which is prepared by dissolving a photoreactive polymer in a good solvent so as to have 0.5 to 40 weight% solid content and further adding toluene thereto so that a weight ratio of the good solvent: toluene is 1:1.3 to 1:12 (1) and a step (2) for carrying out optical alignment by irradiating the coating layer with polarizing ultraviolet ray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
