PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building unit enabling the easy removal of a temporary column. SOLUTION: This building unit 1 comprises a plurality of columns 8, a plurality of upper beams 3 and 4 connecting the upper end parts of the columns 8 to each other, and a plurality of lower beams 6 and 7 connecting the lower end parts of the columns 8 to each other. At least one of the plurality of columns 8 is formed in the temporary column 10 removable from the upper beams 3 and 4 and the lower beams 6 and 7. The temporary column 10 is divided into jig columns 11 and 12 in the longitudinal direction. The jig columns 11 and 12 are connected to each other through a connection member 20 at a prescribed clearance provided therebetween.
