<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of surely braking paper on and after second paper while smoothly feeding first paper, by pressing a separation pad to a pickup roller at a proper angle corresponding to a paper feeding state. <P>SOLUTION: This paper feeder has the pickup roller 11, and the separation pad 21 for stopping the paper on and after the second paper by sandwiching the paper P between the separation pad and the pickup roller 11. The separation pad 21 is rotatably held by a separation pad holder 26 with an upstream side end in the paper feeding direction as a fulcrum 22. The separation pad holder 26 is movably arranged in the substantially central direction of the pickup roller 11. The separation pad holder 26 and the separation pad 21 are energized by a spring 27 and a spring 21, respectively. A paper sliding part 14 of the pickup roller 11 has a diameter smaller than that of a paper feeing part 12, and the separation pad 21 rises in the paper sliding part 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
